On Everyday Rituals. Bring new life to deadstock with Fie Paarup.
Product Design, Creative Partnership
CLIENT: Emil / YEAR: 2023
Video: FORTE/FORTISSIMO.
Emil and Fie Paarup joins forces with a project combining Italian handcraft, Danish aesthetics, and Japanese traditions. The project includes 25 one-of-a-kind kimonos and 10 unique bedspreads constructed like a collage, designed by Studio Fie Paarup, made solely of high-quality deadstock fabrics from the production of Emil garments, giving great dignity and new life to what would otherwise be wasted.
It is estimated that the average production waste of fabrics used in clothing is around 15%. Based on this data we wanted to give new life to what would otherwise be wasted.
